Je pencherais plutôt pour ce type d'explication. Il me semble qu'en français la gérance est appliquée à peine et seulement dans le cas de la gérance d'un fonds de commerce (entreprise, hotel, magasin).
Dans ton cas je jouerais avec de gestion, gestion, direction etc.
En ingénierie, o gerenciamento et autres mots ayant la même base sont en relation avec la gestion et la direction.
