Art/Literary - Poetry & Literature / Letter for a school | | Portuguese term or phrase: Tio | Mi servirebbe sapere se vi è un altro significato della parola "tio" oltre zio. Credo lo usino come nome di cortesia, ma non saprei come tradurlo se non con "signore". Ecco una parte del testo:
Era o tio João Torrado, o propheta da Serra... Logo lhe estendi a mão, que elle apertou, sem despegar de Jacintho os olhos, que se dilatavam mais negros. Mandei vir outro copo, apresentei Jacintho, que córára, embaraçado......
.......―Mas, ó tio João, ouça cá! Sempre é certo você dizer por ahi, pelos sitios, que El-Rei D. Sebastião voltára? |
