Como posso traduzir “pespontadeira” para o italiano? Refiro-me à ocupação/profissão da costureira que faz pespontos, não ao tipo de máquina de costura por ela usada.
Segundo me explicaram, pesponto é um tipo de ponto usado para o acabamento externo de vestuário, podendo mesmo ter uma função de ornamento além da de segurar juntas as peças de tecido.
O Dicionário Houaiss diz o seguinte: “pesponto - acabamento externo de costura com pontos mais largos, feitos à mão ou à máquina, com linha da mesma cor do tecido ou não.”
Tenho “cucitrice addetta all’impuntura”, mas estou na dúvida; poderiam me confirmar ou dar sugestões?
