Nu cred că poţi să redai identic sensul în engleză, rămâne la latitudinea ta ce variantă alegi, dar dacă vrei să explici poate ar fi mai bine cu o paranteză sau o notă de subsol.

Evident că nu-i o simplă decorare, am pornit de la "a împodobi" când am propus decorating, dar numai asker-ul ştie ce fel de traducere îi trebuie şi în ce context.

Daca nu optezi pentru o descriere de tehnica, 'hand decorating/painting" poate fi confundata cu simpla colorare a oualelor in traditia catolica; aici se pun si abtibilduri, alta posibilitate de confuzie.

  -> Multumesc Anca. Daca vrem sa descriem cu adevarat in ce consta incondeierea, atunci trebuie sa avem o sintagma ; Painting/decorating poate insemna colorarea, abtibilduri etc. Asta este un foarte special tipic traditiei bucovine.
