English translation:failure mode

Explanation:
RailCorp is a Network Operator, an Electricity Distributor and a Retail Supplier under the Electricity Supply Act 1995.
Under the ‘Electricity (Consumer Safety) Act 2004’, RailCorp is nominated as an ‘Electricity Supply Authority'.
The whole of the HV ac network and the 1500V system (except for overhead wiring) is designed to withstand a failure of any ONE item of equipment without major impact on train operations. This is defined as a 'single contingency' failure mode. At some critical locations such as the City Underground, double or triple level of contingency failure mode mitigation is provided for a more secure power supply.

Citez din context: se va elabora si semna un contract de asigurare a capacitatii de consum, în regim de avarie. Un scenariu de tip failure mode pe care l-am prezentat la raspunsul meu. Un sistem de back-up, despre asta e vorba aici.

Explanation in English - for the cases when the energy supplier is in trouble = reduced capacity (generation or transmission failure) and not able to supply all the energy contracted, the supplier has provision in contracts with large consumers for such a contingency, in which the large consumers agree to a partial "load shedding" where some of their loads are shut down pursuant to a signal from the energy supplier (as long as the failure persists). This is the "failure mode" for which there is a provision in the supplier-consumer contract. As simple as that.

Eu nu discut varianta in limba romana; asa cum a fost ea prezentata de catre asker. O contest, insa, pe cea din limba engleza! Respectiv folosirea lui failure mode intr-un mod nepotrivit. De ce sa mutam centrul de greutate al mesajului meu pe o alta directie?! Asta nu foloseste nimanui.

Am oferit referinţe care arată sensul în care se foloseşte termenul in domeniu. Am verificat şi pe site-ul Electrica. Nu există REGIM DE avarie, ci doar simplu AVARIE.
