AM and PM - What is Noon and Midnight?
AM and PM start immediately after Midnight and Noon (Midday) respectively.

This means that 00:00 AM or 00:00 PM (or 12:00 AM and 12:00 PM) have no meaning.

Every day starts precisely at midnight and AM starts immediately after that point in time e.g. 00:00:01 AM (see also leap seconds)

To avoid confusion timetables, when scheduling around midnight, prefer to use either 23:59 or 00:01 to avoid confusion as to which day is being referred to.

It is after Noon that PM starts e.g. 00:00:01 PM (12:00:01)

25 mins

agree  simonica: Are noon and midnight 12 a.m. or 12 p.m.? To get around the problem, the terms 12 noon and 12 midnight should be used instead of 12 a.m. and 12 p.m.

Explanation:
Iata o explicatie data de Randford University Publications Style Guidelines:

"Do not use :00 with times that fall on the hour.
Use lower case a.m. and p.m., with commas.
Use noon or midnight, not 12 noon or 12 a.m. or p.m.

Correct:
8 a.m., 9:15 p.m., 8 p.m., 5 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 9 a.m., noon, midnight

Incorrect:
8:00 pm, 9:00 am, 5 P.M., 4:30 P.M., 9 A.M., 12 noon, 12 midnight, 12 a.m., 12 p.m."

Totusi, pentru serviciile asigurate non-stop, unele magazine din strainatate afiseaza programul: open 12 am to 12 pm??? Dar, cine nu este supus greselii?

Pentru prima remarca:

The rules are based on the Associated Press style book used by Radford University.
