In majoritatea contractelor din limba engleza pe care le-am tradus, suprafata utila este "net area", adica suprafata ramasa dupa ce se deduc toate spatiile "brute" nefolosite efectiv pentru locuire. Pentru "suprafata utila", se folosesc si "useful, usable, effective, working area", insa in contexte diferite.
A nu se uita, de asemenea, folosirea articolului (nehotarat pentru "suprafată" si hotarat pentru "suprafata"), care este, dupa cum stim, necesara.
