I would use this straightforward Romanian/Anglo term and use a gloss for extra definition such as
"Research in Romanian and Timisean, which describes the former province surrounding the city of Timisoara."
I would also capitalise the "T...", in accordance with English rules of capitalisation for adjectives and languages.
