Am o dilema ce tine de gasirea unui echivalent cat mai general pentru "diploma de licenta" a unui absolvent de Medicina. Intrucat diploma de care vorbesc a fost emisa in sept. 2003 (inainte de tratatul de la Bologna de uniformizare a studiilor si titlurilor uiniversitare), pot traduce cu "LICENTIATE DEGREE"? Evident, am vazut posturile anterioare dar "university degree" mi se pare chiar prea generic si informal pentru a apararea pe traducerea unei diplome.

Multumesc mult pentru raspuns! Totusi aceeasi sursa pe care ati citat/o sustine ca diploma de licenta in Romania este "licentiate degree". In sfarsit, voi traduce "bachelor's degree", e uzuala si usor de inteles in echivalent.

Asker: Licentiate (from Latin licentia docendi = permission/right to teach) is the title of a person who holds an academic degree called a license. This degree exists in various African, Asian, European and Latin American countries but can represent different educational levels. The term may also derive from the Latin licentia ad practicandum, which signified someone who held a certificate of competence to practise a profession. Such licences might be awarded by non-academic bodies also.
