mourn; to mourn

If this is from Romanian, the correct form of the verb is: a jeli; jeli. However it would be much easier to give the context

I mourned

I guess the word "jalish" is spelt in Romanian "jelis," and it is a past tense form of the verb "a jeli"= to mourn. This past tense form doesn't exist in English so you could translate it into English using the imperfect= I mourned.
