anxiety as an adaptive response
Explanation:
Cred că "response" merge mai bine decât "reaction".

"What is anxiety?

Anxiety is a universal and generally **adaptive response** to a threat, but in certain circumstances it can become maladaptive..."

"Fear and **Anxiety as an Adaptive Response**

...Fear and anxiety can be an **adaptive response** when one is confronted with an event that threatens their survival. Humans experience a kind of fight or flight response... Yet, there is evidence that suggests that moderate levels of anxiety may serve as an adaptive function."

Şi în legătură cu "adaptive":

"In psychology, a behavior or trait is adaptive when it helps an individual adjust and function well within a changing social environment. A maladaptive is a behavior or trait that is not adaptive..."
