Actuala biserică X, a fost zidită între anii ...şi ..., noiembrie ..., când a fost şi sfinţită. Ea este ctitoria lui Y despre care, de asemenea, nu se cunosc alte date în plus, în afară de inscripţia lapidară care însoţeşte portretul pictat, împreună cu al preotului ostenitor Z pe peretele din fundul bisericii în partea dreaptă.

Problema e ca vorbitorii de engleza sunt cam protestanti si protestantii nu au manastiri si nici frati sau preoti ostenitori si slujitori
Preotul slujitor e cel care slujeste la biserica
Cel ostenitor e un " frate" care picteaza icoane sau munceste in gradina de zarzavat a manastirii....

Monks did a variety of work when they were not involved in religious work. Some worked in the kitchen; others would be involved in looking after farm animals that provided the monastery with food; others made beer as beer was healthier than drinking water then; others would be involved in the production of books; some monks worked in medieval hospitals – usually known as an infirmary. Their medical knowledge would have been minimal but it would have been seen as part of their Christian duty to help those who were ill.

In ortodoxie numai preotii de parohie nu sunt calugari si sunt casatoriti
Cei de manastire sunt celibatari si acestia in 90% din cazuri sunt fratii ostenitori. Pot avansa la rang de preot si chiar si mai sus, caci sunt calugari. Cei de parohie nu avanseaza

Explanation:
Preotul= priest
ostenitor= the one who worked, the one who strove, the one who made the effort

X present church was built between ... and ..., November ... when it was consecrated. It was founded by Y, about whom we do not know additional data, apart from the brief inscription accompanying his painted portrait, and that of the priest’s (portrait), Z- found on the back wall of the church on the right hand.

agree  Annamaria Amik: Si preotii mireni pot fi necasatoriti, dar e recomandat sa se casatoreasca (dar dupa hirotonie nu mai pot; se pot calugari sau ramane celibi). Daca e si preot, calugarul = ieromonah, si intr-adevar, acestia pot avansa ierarhic. Alternativ: laboring monk.
