Rickmers-Linie, the Hamburg based global breakbulk, heavylift and project cargo specialist, and LS Cargo Logistics, a specialist forwarder for the transportation of industrial plant and projects, located in Ratingen near Düsseldorf, have again successfully completed a major project shipment. The cargo, a cement plant for the \'Songifa project\', constructed by Polysius AG in Beckum, was shipped to Vietnam over a period of approximately one year.
In total 17,000 freight tons of breakbulk cargo, 180 containers and eight heavylifts were involved in this project, of which the heaviest piece had a unit weight of 183 tons and dimensions of 17m x 5.85m x 6.25m. The whole project consisted of 12 partial shipments that were shipped between November 2003 and December 2004. The majority of the heavy lift consignments were shipped on Rickmers Tokyo in spring 2004 while the final shipment took place only recently from Antwerp aboard Rickmers Jakarta.
