В моем тексте депонентная, но запрошенный вариант правилен. Кажется, я сегодня бью вопрошательные рекорды. Спасибо!

salary arrears
Explanation:
If I understand the definition correctly, it relates to salaries not paid at the usual time because employees were absent. (Must relate to cash payments and not to payments made direct to bank accounts.)

Thank you, David! Even though I'm still not a 100% sure I believe this option is the closest one. At least, that's what I used:-).

Explanation:
Подозреваю, что речь идет об этом.

This account group is used to record payments made to state agencies by private individuals, firms and corporations which are immediately refundable under specified conditions. These include deposits made as a prerequisite to obtaining goods and services, security deposits, deposits from other funds and governmental subdivisions, escheats payable, as well as deposits required to be made for various purposes such as breakage, keys, reservations, etc.

депонентская задолженность
accrued salaries

Explanation:

agree  Sergei Tumanov: accrued but not paid out in time on the payday and postponed till the next one.

disagree  Dorene Cornwell: I do not think these are arrears. Arrears would be if the salaries are not paid on time for some reasons that is the company's fault.

депонентская задолженность
accrued obligations

Explanation:
The money in these accounts is not salaries. The amount accured by an individual may be related to their salary but these accounts are separate funds.

In the US examples of pay categories that might be accrued obligations include paid vacations, short term sick leave and long term sick leave. (I worked in one place that treated longterm sick leave differently from short term sick leave.) Money to pay for paid vacation might accrue for awhile if for instance one has to work a certain amount of time for the organization before one can get paid time off. The company does not have to pay the money out until a person uses the kind of leave involved, but the rate at which one accumulates funds in these accounts has to do with the time worked and one's regular salary.

One of the examples here even includes salaries as accrued obligations because they are paid at some regular interval.

a ciyoke examples:
http://www.investopedia.com/articles/fundamental/04/063004.a...
Current liabilities are the obligations the company has to pay within the coming year, and includes existing (or accrued) obligations to suppliers, employees, the tax office and providers of short-term finance. Companies try to manage cash flow to ensure that funds are available to meet these short-term liabilities as they come due.

http://www.onlinewbc.gov/docs/finance/fs_balsheet2.html
Accrued Expenses are obligations owed but not billed such as wages and payroll taxes, or obligations accruing, but not yet due, such as interest on a loan. Accruals consist chiefly of wages, payroll taxes, interest payable and employee benefits accruals such as pension funds. As a labor related category, it should vary in accordance with payroll policy (i.e., if wages are paid weekly, the accrual category should seldom exceed one week's payroll and payroll taxes).

disagree  Levan Namoradze: obligations? you should better say liabilities. even in that case it's incorrect.

-> There is a difference between liabilities and obligations but the examples I cited use these two terms sort of interchangeabley. So let me think further about a way to clarify the issue.
