Russian term or phrase: треугольник янтарного цвета с заливкой
"Введена сигнализация о том, что опора находится в промежуточном положении и не выпускается или не убирается - треугольник янтарного цвета с заливкой."
I understand the "amber-coloured triangle" bit, but I am not so sure about "с заливкой". Is it simply that the triangle is filled with a liquid that creates the colour or is it something a little more technical?
Thanks!

triangle with an amber background
Explanation:
It only means that the whole background of the triangle is amber-coloured, not just the outline. As simple as that, nothing more.

Actually, if there is nothing drawn on the triangle, then it's not a "background" but rather a "solid amber-coloured triangle".

Thank you! This is spot on, as another part of the translation gave me illustrations!

amber-coloured filled triangle

Explanation:
You are right about "filled" - that is what "с заливкой" means. However, here the term has nothing to do with liquid. As far as I understand from the context, the thing in question is a light indicator and "с заливкой" means that the indicator is not just an outline, but a filled triangle, i.e. the whole triangle emits light, not just the outline.

Oops! It took me some time to write my version - there's another answer similar to mine.
Still I believe that "background" says more about the background colour rather than the colour of the triangle itself, while "треугольник с заливкой" means that the triangle is filled with [amber] colour.

Explanation:
I tried to trace the etymology - turned out that the Russian term comes from the icon showing the tilted bucket, from which the "paint is being poured"

http://www.helpexe.ru/beg_01_draw.php

Выберите инструмент Заливка (Bucket). Этот инструмент предназначен для того, что бы изменить цвет уже существующей закрашенной области, а также пустой области, окружённой линиями.

amber-bordered colour triangle

Explanation:
The Russian wording is not conclusive. I visualise a yellow triangle with an amber border. I think only the border colour is prescribed, with the colour of the background (заливка) left optional.
