Russian term or phrase: взлетный модуль
Речь идет о пилотируемом полете на Марс, а точнее о марсианском взлетно-посадочном комплексе, в состав которого входят: посадочный модуль (landing module/unit), илой модуль (living module) и взлетный модуль (take-off module - ?). Буду очень благодарна за ответ.

Notes to answerer
Asker: thanks, that's exactly why I asked the question - I couldn't decide between the take-off and the launch module

agree  David Knowles: I agree - better than take-off module, and I've put your version in the glossary, if that's any comfort for not getting the points!

Martian module ascent stage

Explanation:
There is an interesting illustrated page about the Apollo moon landing program at http://history.nasa.gov/diagrams/apollo.html
The Apollo spacecraft had three modules: command module, service module and Lunar module. The Lunar module included a descent stage and an ascent stage. So if the Pars landing program is similar (and it may well not be), the comparable part would be the Martian module ascent stage.

Mars landing program of course, not Pars.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thank you, Jack! I appreciate your answer very much as it contains a useful reference/ however it seems to me that this type of spacecraft is different. maybe I will need to ask more questions - I've just started translating this book.
