Russian to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Aerospace / Aviation / Space / Earth - Space projects | | Russian term or phrase: «отверточноe» производствo | Projects for Earth - Space relationship include:
Комплектующие (оптоэлектроника, бортовая энергетика) с поэтапной моделью импорта критических upstream-технологий (от «чистого ввоза» до трансфера, «отверточного» и собственного производства).
What I find is "screwdriver" production, which seems to mean something like "do-it-yourself." But that doesn't make much sense if we're talking about a spacecraft.
Any clues would be appreciated! |

| | CKD | Explanation: I think it's slang for "complete knock down" technologies, which means the machines are fully manufactured down to every detail, and "all you need is a screwdriver" (отвертка) to assemble them.

There's also "SKD" - semi knock down, which is a common arrangement for outsourced auto assembly. I think various expressions with "сборочный" are used for that.
But, here, at least in one place on Multitran somebody links "отверточный" with CKD.

Although here, somebody else says that отверточная сборка is SKD.

Maybe you'll get more expert advice in the morning, but if you need something tonight in EDT zone, it's something in the realm of "knockdown" assembly.
