Bus/Financial - Agriculture / Plant Protection | | Russian term or phrase: кукурузная бабочка | Простой и, казалось бы, очевидный еревод названия этого вредителя полей "в лоб" несколько смущает, в частности, из-за того, что:
есть и "стеблевая кукурузная бабочка" и т.д.
как известно, "бабочка" (butterfly) -- это одна из форм раскрытия зерен кукурузы в готовые хлопья попкорна :)
Как бы нам с поп-корном и бабочку не проглотить :)) |

Asker: Спасибо, развеяли сомнения. А в одном докладе авторы-гости величали того же вредителя "ECB", причём без единой расшифровки, -- коварные же бывают вредители (полей) ! :))
