Russian to English translations [PRO] Science - Archaeology / Palaeolithic sites in Russia | | Russian term or phrase: мастерская | This term comes up often in the text and I'm not sure how to translate it in an archaeological context. It refers to areas where work was carried out, such as stone tool manufacturing.
Example 1:
Тот же археолог [Касымов] вел изучение группы разновременных мастерских близ Учтута
Example 2:
А. Е. Матюхин раскапывает группу разновременных мастерских близ Калитвенки и стоянок в Бирючьей Балке.
Example 3:
На обширнейших камнеобрабатывающих мастерских «Кремневой долины» в Монголии применяется привязка пунктов с помощью прибора GPS, индивидуальная регистрация находок с фотофиксацией их расположения в вертикальной проекции по квадратам. |
