Russian to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Architecture
Russian term or phrase: электроразводка
Form a property company's website, describing an apartment block:
В квартирах есть межкомнатные стены, выполнена электроразводка, застеклены лоджии.
So the apartments have walls between the rooms! Big deal! I have put "have separate rooms" for this, I presume it means they are not open-plan.
Can't trace электроразводка as a single word, but it appears to mean the apartments are wired for electricity. Again, big deal! But does anyone know exactly what the word means?

English translation:wired for electricity
Explanation:
Hi, Jack! Don't think there are any hidden meanings here. The rooms have separating walls (yah, big deal), presumably as opposed to some other kind of separation like glass or wood; and having the electric circuitry already in place might be a good selling point if it's in the kind of area where that is not taken for granted. Or it could be just some sales blather to fill space...

Thank you. Yes, sales blather to fill the space seems quite likely.

made electrically independent

Explanation:
I'm not sure how this is said but one meaning that Callaham's gives for разводка is "separation".

I've faced this issue personally because there is a pool bathhouse in my complex on the other side of my basement and for some reason a switch located there is able to turn my basement lights on and off!
