Regrading (of goods) Explanation: Your context: For any difference in the inventory cost revealed after regrading of items and causing inventory deficit beyond any liability of the personnel accountable, the stocktaking commission protocols shall provide every exhausting grounding of the reason why such a deficit occurred. |

re-sorting, or wrong sorting out Explanation: The problem is as follows: Imagine you are working with two sorts of the same good (first quality and medium quality). To steal from your workplace you make the following: sale medium quality good for the price of the fits quality good. The CRIMINAL process of changing, mixing, varying sorts is known in Russian (both language and society:) as PERESORTITSA. Your text might look as follows: In the protocols of the inventory commission, for an amount of a negative difference in the (total) cost, which might be due to a mixing of sorts arisen not through a fault of staff members materially liable for keeping the goods and records, the exhausting explanations must be given on the causes which impeded the resting of the liability on such a difference upon the persons in fault. Yer, really fantastic. But after 10 years of translating purely mathematical passages (some 10000 pages are behind my back!) , "this is not the case". The unique VERY interesting thing here is the ACCUSATIONS at the end of the phrase - they say "Well boys, you made your "peresortitsa" and gained some money. That commission must explain completely why the gained money was not yet taken from the salaries of those fault persons.. |

re-grading, re-assorting Explanation: Vip's answer, in my opinion, is the best as it comprises wider range of causes for resorting good. Example: Perishable goods, like food, paper, cloth are reassorted whenever their quality degrades. (Like items that are no longer in fashion are discounted) People responsible for safe keeping them might not be at fault; thus according to regulations, explanation is to be provided as to what caused this or that case of reassorting and why, say, storage staff is not fined for the losses. It is NOT always a criminal act! It is an OBLIGATORY standard procedure at e.g.vegetable stores. My friend - a food store manager |
