Given some editorial flexibility, I would rewrite it more simply:

"Do you want to..."
"Are you eager to..."

But if you think it's essential to convey "давно", "Have you always" could be a way to do it without the heavy-sounding "long + participle" constructions. In this expression, "always" is not meant literally.
