Explanation:
If two or more similar channels exist for the sake of redundancy and to achieve reliable performance, always one channel will be active and the other channel/s may be stand by. The monitoring circuits will be showing the parameters of the chanel under active condition(which is serving). In two channel system we may call the channels as Master /slave.The one which is "selected" is master and the other automatically known as slave in that particular selected condition.
