Russian to English translations [PRO]
Energy / Power Generation / renewables
Russian term or phrase: горячий резерв
From the same sentence as my previous question: для изолированных энергоузлов крайнего севера функционирование нерегулируемых НВЭУ должно сопровождаться поддержанием 100% горячего резерва на дизельных электроустановках, поскольку из-за неустойчивости погодных явлений невозможно обеспечить необходимую стабильность выдачи мощности НВЭУ

Does it mean a "fuel reserve"? The dictionary suggestions "hot standby", "hot backup" don't seem to work.

Thank you!

standby power or hot standby (HSB)

Explanation:
I would probably go with Hot-Standby (HSB) - though when i googled it, HSB seems to be used more with nuclear power plants...
