I know that these are heating units, but I don't know how best to translate малой мощности. I also don't know if the units are actually gas turbines, of some sort..I am lost..
Any help much appreciated.

| | English translation:light-duty cogeneration turbine | Explanation: Here, they refer to systems or power plants generating both thermal and electricity power, I suppose. Such systems are called Combined cycle/cogeneration/CHP plants. These plants use various equipment, that derived from aircraft jet engines and gas turbines included.
As for the phrase "малой мощности", I think it implicates mini- or micro- CHP plants.
My variant of translation is the following:
In the Russian industry, agriculture and public utility sector, demand for mini-/micro-CHP plants using gas turbines is met with power units derived from aircraft jet engines.
Just an option.

Pardon, the answer line was just my first variant. The right answer is "micro-/mini-CHP plant"
