Not every flower is a rose. 09:33 Aug 20, 2011
Believe me, gents, this is a totally disinterested comment: I'm not defending my answer, nor am I trying to impose anbything on you, I swear. But, just due to my innate tedious punctiliousness, I would like to point out that "electric storage heating" is absolutely dreadful English, misleading, stinted, clumsy and semantically wrong for it's confusing house dog with dog house. I looked up the site too: the title is funamentally wrong: the thingamabob doesn't store heat electrically as the title implies. Nor does it store electricity. It stores heat by heating up the materials with high heat-release inertiality. The heat itself may be generated electrically or, for that matter, in any other conceivable way. I hope I'm making myself clear. Morale: don't trust blindly them-thar the "native speakers' vesrions". After all, G.W. Bush – a native speaker and a President of the United States to boot – used to say "nuckelar bomb". :) |
