Russian term or phrase:

Shielding angle
If shielding angles are wrong, there is a risk of direct luminaires causing direct glare due to excessively high luminance. To avoid this, luminaires are fitted with housing elements, baffles or louvers to shield the lamps. High luminance can also be reduced by opal or prismatic covers.
DIN EN 12665 defines the shielding angle of a luminaire as the angle between the downward vertical and the first line of sight at which lamps and areas of high luminance are directly visible.
