Russian term or phrase:взмучивание воды и нарушения морфологии речного дна
Негативное локальное воздействие оказывается в виде нарушения почвенно-растительного покрова вне полосы отвода, несоблюдения особого режима работы в водоохранных зонах, загрязнения участков проливами ГСМ, выбросов загрязняющих веществ от работы транспорта, техники, сварочных работ, взмучивания воды и нарушения морфологии речного дна при производстве работ на переходах через водотоки, накопления отходов производства и потребления, и т.п.
There is certain negative local impact in the form of terrain disturbance outside ROW, non-compliance of special operation procedures in water protection areas, POL spills, pollutant emissions from vehicles and equipment and due to welding operations, sediment detachment and river bed morphology disturbance when crossing the water courses, accumulation of production and consumer wastes etc.
Introduction to the Hf MicroTPI portable turbidimeter
Water clarity is an important determinant of the its condition and productivity. Turbidity is a measure of water clarity. Nephelometers measure the intensity of light scattered by contaminants such as suspended and colloidal matter like clay and silt, and microscopic organisms. Turbidimeters using the nephelometric principal compare the light scattered due to contamination with the light scattering from a standard reference suspension. The result is a measurement of turbidity in NTUs - Nephelometric Turbidity Units.
I agree completely that "русло из almost always the middle stream/main channel of the river" or just channel, waercourse, channelway, the deepest part of a stream, in most general cases. But specifically фарватер is used for those terms, for navigation.
But I agree with the "disturbance of river morphology" - it covers it all. I may even think, that they are being changing the river's hydrology by interfering with their construction work, but that's out of scope of this question/discussion.
In Russian tradition, русло из almost always the middle stream/main channel of the river. It doesn't include inundated or simply shallow bank areas. On the other hand, the river bottom can be anything, covered by the river (including the river bed).
A turbidity current (aka density currrent, mud flow, suspension current) is a highly turbid, relatively dense current carrying large quantities of suspended clay, silt, sand down a submarine slope through less dense water. I just told it !
Explanation: I read the dissertation in the notes about "turbidity," but ecologically the issue is not just sediment disturbance. It is also really local changes in whether water is moving or mostly calm, undisturbed at a given point and how often the water / sedminets are disturbed.
That point, the water agitation, is what would point me toward turbidity
