This word is part of a newspaper article heading about why imports are so expensive in Russia. The full title is:

гаджетомания или фаллометрия?

I was wondering about something like "Cock of the Walk syndrome" or "Oneupmanship" or "Keeping up with the Jones'". Does anybody have any ideas?
