Russian term or phrase:жить вовремя
помогите перевести фразу "жить вовремя". Это слоган рекламного агенства. дословно написать to live in time будет не верно, скорее всего... как это можно обыграть?
I think "Live in the moment" has a more philosophical, religious feel to it whereas "Live for the moment" is more of a lifestyle choice, never missing an opportunity etc.
На самом деле это озаначает: живите всего одно мгновение.

Explanation: I'm not sure if I've understood the meaning correctly, but I take it as meaning live your life to the full right now, whatever the cost might be later. Not a slogan I would recommend as a life-style guide! A bit like "Eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow we die"
But also brings to mind a Shakespear quotation:
"There comes a tide in the affairs of men
Which taken at the flood, leads on to furtune".

Explanation: Мне думается, что речь идет что-типа о "не пропустите свою жизнь", "живите здесь и сейчас", "не откладывайте все на потом".

Судя по его содержанию, можно сделать вывод, что ее название как раз соответствует смыслу "жить вовремя".

понимаю, что Вам не хочется употреблять отрицание, но подумайте: не приходилось ли Вам встречать в слоганах фразы:
"НЕ упустите свой шанс"
"НЕ опоздайте"
"НЕ ждите"
"НЕ копи, купи" (да, я видел и такой) ?
Мне такие слоганы с отрицанием в русскоязычных рекламных текстах попадались не раз.

да, смысл песни очень близок. Не пропустите свое время... don't miss your time. Но в слогане как-то не хочется употреблять отрицание, может "catch your time". Приемлем ли такой перевод будет для англоязычных людей.
Asker: не спорю. перевод don't miss your time мне нравится. просто не подумал и о других случаях, когда в слоганах пишут отрицание. Спасибо
