Otherwise force-majeure cannot be claimed Explanation: Otherwise, the Party in relation to which such circumstances have come into existence shall no longer be entitled to claim them as force-majeure. I'm sure my sentence can be cleaned up and made to sound more polished and formal. But the sense is that otherwise (usually, if they have not reported the force-majeure event in due time or not substantiated it with documentary proof), the Party cannot resort to force-majeure.
