Bus/Financial - Management
Russian term or phrase: снижение себестоимости проекта
Context: a bar graph showing снижение себестоимости проекта - the project is an energy efficiency project financed with a bank loan. Over the period of time shown, the running costs and the loan interest payments remain the same, but the energy costs fall year on year.

I know that себестоимость means the cost of producing something, but here we are not talking about actually producing something. Does anyone know if there is a specific project management term?

Thanks.

English translation:reduction in project costs
Explanation:
Cебестоимость applies to anything that needs funds to get off the ground. It's not uncommon to use it in this context.

reduction in running costs/energy costs

Explanation:
I'd have said "running costs" but you've said that they stay constant. If you can't find another phrase for "running costs", then go for the specific "energy costs". I also thought of "inherent costs" but I don't think it quite works.

Well, if you translate эксплуатация as "maintenance costs" or "staff and maintenance costs", you can use "running costs" here. Not sure about "project costs" because that sounds like the total cost (maintenance+running+anything else).

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks David. I might actually have mistranslated 'running costs'. The Russian is эксплуатация. I took this to mean things like staff costs.
