Russian term or phrase: политропное действие
Помогите, пожалуйста, разобраться. Мне нужно перевести этот термин на английский. Речь идет о степени опасности вещества (селена) и его действии на организм человека. Поиск в Интернете дал синонимы слова "политропное" (действие), в данном контексте, как многогранное (действие). Т.е., это не в физическом смысле "политропный процесс", а, насколько я понимаю, что-то другое.
Подскажите, кто знает.

В англоязычной же литературе, насколько можно заметить, не очень жалуют словосочетание "функциональные системы [организма]" (очень широко используемое в наших публикациях), а используют - в том же самом смысле - слово "organs". Поэтому и предлагаю перевести "политропное действие" как "effect on various organs"...

Explanation:
речь о том, что селен действует на многие разные системы организма, в отличие от, например, нейротропных ядов, действующих на нервную систему.
важно отметить, что речь в данном случае идет не о симптомах и проявлениях со стороны той или иной системы организма, а именно о механизме действия яда, поэтому слово effect употреблять не стоит.

Result : 1,3-DCB was neurotoxic and affected the parenchymatous organs, and
greatly affected the liver parenchyma, digestive tract organs, and to a
