Russian to English translations [PRO] Medical - Medical: Pharmaceuticals | | Russian term or phrase: удельная активность vs. специфическая активность | In the document I'm translating, there is a list of sections that must appear in a pharmacopeia monograph for heterologous sera. Among the sections listed are a section entitled удельная активность and another entitled специфическая активность. As far as I know, both of these phrases are normally rendered in English as "specific activity."
Can anyone tell me what the difference is between these two types of activity, and suggest translations that would enable me to differentiate the two?
Thanks! |

"volume activity" is ok unless activity is measured, say, per gram. "unit activity" would cover both.
