I'm having a hard time with производящее here. Can I say the source plant(s), or something like that? other suggestions?

| Grading comment Thanks. Everyone gave useful answers, but this one works best for my overall context. RNS, thanks for the definition - the fact that it used источник helped me feel even more comfortable using the term "source plant" in my context.
