PCR-facilitated diagnostic of sexually transmitted diseases Explanation: Polymerase Chain Reaction is a widely used method in molecular biology. As an application it is used in medical diagnostic and forensic procedures. Directly, it has nothing to do with sexually transmitted diseases(STD). But it can be used to determine the presence or the strain of pathogen in specimens. Also, since PCR is originally an English term, you do not have to spell it out. Most people in the field know very well what PCR is. |
