to the extent owned by Explanation: до границ балансовой принадлежности -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2002-07-31 19:02:57 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- балансовая принадлежность is when a corporation carries some asset on it balance sheet. In this case, though, you might want to translate each of these sentences differently. based on ownership domain enter into agreement to acquire automatic fire detection services to cover domain owned by ownership ruling (either some of the infrastructure was unwanted or too sought after once factories and such were privatized, so there had to be an arbitration ruling of some sort as to who would take and own what) |

balance belonging Explanation: I think, it is meant here whom (which organisation) this system belongs to. For example, some buildings are on the balance of the state, the same is with the pipe-line. |

balance inventory or material balance & inventory Explanation: This "балансовая принаджежность" is tied up to the money: the balance sheet и является чисто русским феноменом. I came across this term years earlier and translated it as balance iventory and the whole thing as Material Balance and Inventory. I know how you feel :-) You can't go around the word balance. Even the future of the Crimea penninsula was defined after the two parties agreed whose balance inventory the Crimea was on. Есть такая программа, разработанная в Англии, котрая позволяет относительно легко решать балановую принадлежность: Solutions for stochastic cash balance inventory problems using a dynamic programming formulation Steven M. Obviously not for grading :=) Explanation: First, my apologies. (Standing by to play a scapegoat if it makes your situation any easier.) Second, try using Misha's suggestion (to the extent owned/controlled). [Also, battery limits is not an intuitive translation and not something you can easily find in a dictionary. Many editors feel like replacing it. (No idea whether there is a different UK term).] |

within accountability area Explanation: Поскольку речь идет о физическом разграничении зоны финансовой и административной ответственности (см. http://adm.ptz.ru/npd/p3674.html), предлагаю следующие варианты: within accountability area or within accountable area См.http://www.pps.noaa.gov/propdef.htm: "Accountability Area - An area, defined by organizational limits, for which a discreet set of personal property accountability records are maintained under the jurisdiction of a designated Property Accountability Officer." |

property or ownership of property Explanation: I find that Russian economic terms are often unnecessarily bombastic. In this case, as explained by several colleagues above, sure, it refers to assets recorded on an entity's balance sheet, i.e. owned by it. In the asker's examples, various situations apply where property limits are delineated, or something applies or is done strictly where certain property ownership is established. May I suggest: 1. "... to the extent of the limits of the property owned by X" 2. "... established according to the deeds pertaining to the properties" 3. "... determined according to ownership of the pipeline" |
