buoyancy and stability of seafaring vessels Explanation: Makarov investigated the buoyancy and stability of seafaring vessels, the utilization of mines and torpedoes; worked out battle tactics for armored fleets and suggested that environmental parameters be taken into account when using the armed forces. sea craft floatability and survivability Explanation: Все-таки floatability и survivability, a не stability. To learn the difference between floatability and buoyancy, please visit the URL: http://www.flylines.com/Advisors/FlyLineAdvisor/body_flyline... Floability is the ability of the line to sit on top of the water - on the surface skin. A line may be a very good floater, but not be very buoyant. The buoyancy the is governed by the density of the line in relation to that of water. A buoyant line such as the Super Low Density River & Stream model, when ducked under by a strong current in a river will recover to the surface very rapidly - as much as six times more rapidly than a conventional floater. A steel pin, when placed gently on the surface of water can float forever - that is until it is disturbed. The pin has negative buoyancy but good floatability. Ship Survivability. Operating in the littoral environment involves unique environmental challenges ... www.dd21goldteam.com/shipsurv.htm Passenger Ship Survivability) Regulations 1994. ... www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si1994/Uksi_19940422_en_1.htm (about 10,000 entries in Google search for "ship survivability") The whole sentence: S.O. Makarov studied the problems of sea craft floatability and survivability, mines and torpedoes usage, worked out the armored fleet battle tactics and suggested that environmental parameters should be taken into consideration when using battleships. |
