Russian to English translations [PRO]
Science - Petroleum Eng/Sci / Geophysical logging | | Russian term or phrase: БКЗ и БК | Словари, которыми я пользуюсь, нередко переводят БКЗ (боковое каротажное зондирование) и БК (боковой каротаж) одинаково. Хотя по контексту оригинала, а также в учебнике, это не совсем одно и то же. В оригинале даются значения по БК и другие значения по БКЗ.
Пока переводила БК как lateral logging, а БКЗ как lateral log sounding. Но не знаю, правильно ли это. Также очень хотела бы узнать английскую аббревиатуру для БКЗ, особенно для перевода таблиц. (Аббревиатура для БК в словарях есть, LL, но словари, как я упоминала, пишут на эту тему довольно непоследовательно и противоречиво. LL -точно именно боковой каротаж, а не боковое каротажное зондирование и не общее понятие?)
В словарях также есть термин laterologging. Это то же самое, что lateral logging, или есть какая-то разница? Laterologging - это только боковой каротаж, или общее понятие для бокового каротажа и бокового каротажного зондирования?
Также в тексте встречается МБК (микробоковой каротаж). Наверное, MLL.
Главные вопросы: как правильно перевести БКЗ и БК, чтобы получатели их не перепутали по моему переводу? И какова английская аббревиатура для БКЗ?
