Russian term or phrase: посылом собственным нервам
Сутулость, давно победившая отчаянные попытки разделаться с ненавистной привычкой, делала ее трогательно беззащитной. Казалось, держать спину прямо, а это она время от времени проделывала, было для нее неким раздражительным 'посылом собственным нервам'. Понимаю, всю жизнь ломить в себе природу до тошноты противно.

The protagonist is describing a girl he met. I'm stuck with the word 'посылом'.
