Russian term or phrase: K prochemu bab'iu po ocheredi, noch'iu.
Novel circa 1900

A rich man, who is fond of the ladies, is standing on a 'path' of calico. (it has been spread out for him to walk on).
He says:
Pervo-napervo vedi dorozhku k Dar'e Zdobnen'koi. K prochemu bab'iu po ocheredi, noch'iu.

Presumably he wants to see Daria first and then some other women.
I am a bit confused because "prochemu bab'iu" is singular but he uses "po ocheredi".

Because such words are singular in form they are declined like other words in the singular.
