2. Профиль журнала - именно scope of the journal, а не profile!
2а. В подобных контекстах (инструкции для авторов) слово profile обычно употребляется в сочетании author['s] profile - и означает другое:

Профиль is used a lot more in Russian than profile is in English, but I think it can be used here.
