Russian term or phrase: Domvitch/Kropnitsa?
Ok, this term was originally in a Skolt Sбmi text as dеmvičč, the Skolt-Finnish dictionary gives the term
as being kropnitsa or grobu. These are the "little houses" that are placed on top of graves. In Finland, they seem to be mainly stylized crosses, although elsewhere seem to be more elaborate houselike structures. I've found a page that talks about "spirit houses" in Kenai, but is this the normal term for these? Does anyone know what this term is in Russian and/or English? Thank you very much!
