Granted we keep "dominated", for there has never been a one-civilisation world albeit it has always had a dominant civilisation. That's on the technical side of this translation. On the substantive side, however, as I've already pointed out, it's nonsense for all indications are that perhaps for the first time in the history of humanity we are moving towards a mono–civilisation (with McDonalds for cuisine and Dan Brown with Harry Potter for culture).
