Russian to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Transport / Transportation / Shipping
Russian term or phrase: судно зафрахтовано
This is a clause from a supply contract for argil (глинозем).

"Покупатель оплачивает ..% каждой партии телеграфным переводом не позднее .. дней после уведомления Покупателя о том, что **судно зафрахтовано**."

"a vessel has been chartered" is the best I have so far. Is that right? It's also a little confusing, because the shipments (партии) are supposed to arrive in train cars (вагоны).

Thank you in advance for some insight into this.

This translation is so obvious...
Ok, let's reward! Not 'oops', but 'what else can it be? Nothing'
Certainly, if we want to speak like brokers do...

Thank you, Sergei. I am choosing "fixed" based on your input and the definition of "fixture" at this website: http://www.iss-marineacademy.com/shippingterminology.aspx?page=f".

Asker: Thank you, Angela. I believe "chartered" would have worked, too, but Sergei convinced me.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Sergei, thanks for bringing up the correct translation of партии. I had better revisit the text and decide what to use.

Asker: Why oops?
