"Изоляция" vuol dire "isolamento" e non ci dovrebbero essere difficoltà a tradurre questa parola. Forse quello che ti fa venire dubbi è l'indicazione dello spessore.
In russo certe volte si usa dire "изоляция" nel senso "qualcosa di isolante". Per esempio, gli elettricisti possono dire "обмотать изоляцией", intendendo con questo "coprire, avvolgere col nastro isolante".
Perciò, essendo menzionato lo spessore, propongo "lo strato isolante dell'autoclave spesso 150 mm, o di 150 mm di spessore". |

Ho aggiunto la parola "termico" perchè si tratta proprio dell'isolamento termico. I tecnici russi molto spesso omettono questo aggettivo, ma secondo me va aggiunto.
