The author maintains that it is the acquaintance with all doctrinal trends in LIC that, firstly, supports the consideration of the necessity of building up and perfecting the Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia's (SFRY) total national defense and the concept of social self-protection, and, secondly, enables anticipation of a potential aggressor's warfare to be expected in a LIC situation launched against the SFRY, thus optimizing the search for an adequate model of the SFRY's armed forces that would be capable of deterring the aggressor.
