Da li da prevedem kao graduate architectural engineer? Mislim da sam videla na nekim sajtovima ovako napisano. Ili graduate engineer of architecture? U pitanju je diploma iz ove godine, ali je sistem još uvek po starom, mislim.

to bi bio zvaničan prevod navedene titule koja se sticala (i koja se još uvek stiče) po starom sistemu na našem arhitektonskom fakultetu, bez obzira na izabrani (i završeni) smer.

Inače na svim našim tehničkim fakultetima se sticala diploma (po starom programu) koja se prevodi kao Bachelor of Science in xxx Egineering, pa smo tako imali i:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

Ovo su titule koje se stiču po novom programu na Arhitektonskom fakultetu u Beogradu (po smerovima):

MA in Architecture


Explanation:
Being a "diplomirani inženjer arhitekture" myself, I would feel deeply offended if anyone would translate my degree in any other way.

Here's how I make the distinction between an MA and a BA when translating degrees:

In Serbia (and in most countries in the Balkans), a "diplomirani inženjer" in a technical field is someone who's education has lasted for ten semesters and who has completed a graduation project. This is equivalent to the duration and complexity of an education for an MA degree in the West.

On the other hand, the education of people who are "diplomirani" in non-technical fields has lasted for eight semesters and most of them did not need to complete a graduation project. I translate these degrees as BA's.

I engage in this practice without a shred of doubt or remorse knowing that even though this is legally a grey area, an average "diplomirani inženjer" can perform all tasks given to him by an employer who is hiring for people with MA's.
