4 The Director of Schools may suspend a tenured teacher at any time that may seem necessary, pending
5 investigation or final disposition of a case before the Board or an appeal. As with all employees, the
6 tenured teacher shall be provided with reasons for the suspension, given an opportunity to respond, and
7 given a written decision of the suspension by the Director. If the teacher is vindicated or reinstated after
8 an appeal before the Director and/or Board, the teacher shall be paid the full salary for the period during
9 which the suspension occurred.

11 Efforts shall be made to correct problems which might lead to the dismissal of tenured school personnel
