Slovak term or phrase: diplomova praca
'diplomova praca' is a closing thesis that is required at our faculty to finish the five-year master's study. successful absolvents get the title 'Magister' which is supposed to be equivalent of the 'Master of Science'

the question is whether the correct english equivalent should be 'master thesis', 'master's thesis' or 'diploma thesis' or even something else.

undergraduate work


Explanation:
Undergraduate work is final written work after 5 year at the university in Slovakia.
Masters degree and get degree, you must write another work.
Doctoral work and get degree is after 5 year to study.
All of them must be defend in of from of commission. Also oral tests are required.
So diplomova praca is not a master's thesis.
